Hạ Long Bay, in northeast Vietnam, is known for its emerald waters and thousands of towering limestone islands topped by rainforests. Junk boat tours and sea kayak expeditions take visitors past islands named for their shapes, including Stone Dog and Teapot islets. The region is popular for scuba diving, rock climbing and hiking, particularly in mountainous Cát Bà National Park.
Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is known for its centuries-old architecture and a rich culture with Southeast Asian, Chinese and French influences. At its heart is the chaotic Old Quarter, where the narrow streets are roughly arranged by trade. There are many little temples, including Bach Ma, honoring a legendary horse, plus Đồng Xuân Market, selling household goods and street food.
Huế is a city in central Vietnam that was the seat of Nguyen Dynasty emperors and the national capital from 1802 to 1945. A major attraction is its vast, 19th-century Citadel, surrounded by a moat and thick stone walls. It encompasses the Imperial City, with palaces and shrines; the Forbidden Purple City, once the emperor’s home; and a replica of the Royal Theater.
Hội An is a city on Vietnam’s central coast known for its well-preserved Ancient Town, cut through with canals. The former port city’s melting-pot history is reflected in its architecture, a mix of eras and styles from wooden Chinese shophouses and temples to colorful French colonial buildings, ornate Vietnamese tube houses and the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge with its pagoda.
Ho Chi Minh City (commonly known as Saigon) is a city in southern Vietnam famous for the pivotal role it played in the Vietnam War. It's also known for its French colonial landmarks, including Notre-Dame Cathedral, made entirely of materials imported from France, and the 19th-century Central Post Office. Food stalls line the city’s streets, especially around bustling Bến Thành Market.
The Mekong Delta in southern Vietnam is a vast maze of rivers, swamps and islands, home to floating markets, Khmer pagodas and villages surrounded by rice paddies. Boats are the main means of transportation, and tours of the region often start in nearby Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon) or Can Tho, a bustling town in the heart of the delta.
Day 1 : Arrive Hanoi
Arrive at the airport in Hanoi, Vietnam's capital city of tree-lined streets, colonial houses and centuries-old temples. On arrival you are transferred to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is free for you. Later in the evening you are taken to witness the famous water puppet show followed by dinner at a local restaurant. Created during the Ly Dynasty (1009-1224), the water puppet show, in which the artistes controlling the puppets stand in water behind the stage door, has become a unique form of artistic performance to the Vietnamese. Day 2 : Hanoi
Post breakfast this morning, enjoy a full day city tour which features both cultural and historical highlights, comprising Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and his house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, Ethnology Museum, the Quan Thanh Temple, the Tran Quoc Pagoda, the old quarters and shopping. Day 3 : Hanoi-Halong Bay
You are transferred to Ha Long (170km), a World Heritage site recognized by UNESCO in 1994, this morning. Upon arrival to Tuan Chau Island, you are welcomed on board the Paradise Junk and start your cruise program:

- 11.45 - 12.00 : Transfer to cruise ship
- 12.00 : Welcome Cocktail - cruise briefing, safety instructions, check-in cabins
- 12.15 : Depart to Halong Bay - cruise and program commence

- 14.30 : Arrive at Surprise Cave (Hang Sung Sot) - explore most famous grotto

Day 4 : Halong Bay-Hanoi
Its an early morning as you wake up at 0600 hrs for Tai Chi lessons on the Sundeck. This is followed by the morning activities of swimming or kayaking till 0800 hrs. Aaround 0830 hrs its time to tuck into some sumptuous breakfast following which you continue cruising through Halong Bay. At 1003 hrs you arrive at Tuan Chau Island, where you check out of your cruise and from where you are transferred and drive back to your hotel in Hanoi. Day 5 : Hanoi - Hue
Following breakfast this morning its time to be transferred to the airport for your flight to Hue. Upon arrival you are greeted and are transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon you are taken on a city tour to visit the Imperial Citadel and the tombs of King Tu Duc and King Khai Dinh. The monuments, designed by the kings themselves, were also used as holiday retreats during their lifetime. Later in the evening you are in for a treat where dinner awaits you with the specialties of Hue at the famous Ancient Hue restaurant. Overnight in Hue
Day 6 : Hue – Danang - Hoi An
Relax this morning boating on the Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda, a 21-metre-high (69-foot-high) octagonal tower regarded as the symbol of Hue. Drive to the Dong Ba Market, famous for the best conical hats in Vietnam. Enjoy lunch and transfer to Hoi An, an ancient trading post of seafaring Chinese, Japanese and Portuguese merchants several centuries ago. Stop-over to visit the scenic Lang Co lagoon in Hai Van Pass, the stone-carving village of Non Nuoc and the Cham Sculpture Museum in Danang. Overnight in Hoi An
Day 7 : Hoi An
Wake up to breakfast this morning and enjoy a walking tour in Hoi An to explore the ancient city with traditional and original antique houses, temples, markets and handicraft workshops. Hoai An is also known for its beaches and this is exactly where you spend relaxing this afternoon.

Day 9 : Hoi An – Danang - Ho Chi Minh City
Post breakfast this morning its time to be transferred to Danang airport for your short flight to Ho Chi Minh City, formerly called Saigon, the largest and busiest city in Vietnam. The city tour will take you around Saigon, from downtown to Chinatown. You will get to know Saigon's history and culture with stops at the Reunification Palace and at the Thien Hau Pagoda. Learn about the past and see the many stalls and diversified products available at Binh Tay Market in Chinatown. See other places of interest such as the Fito museum specializing in traditional medicine, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Central Post Office. Take the rest of the time for shopping activities around Dong Khoi Street and Ben Thanh Market. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 10 : Ho Chi Minh - Mekong (Saigon - Cai Be - Vinh Long)
This morning after an early breakfast you are driven to Cai Be to get on board the Bassac Cruise at noon. You are welcomed with a drink on board and are then introduced to the ship and crew, check into your cabin. You then depart towards Cho Lach on the Tien Giang river. Lunch is served whilst enroute. Spend time unwinding on the deck. Branching into Cho Lach canal for 30 minutes through the traffic of sand and rice barges, in a scenery of fruit drying facilities and wooden ship building yards. Visit a village on the banks of river Mang Thit, an opportunity to appreciate the way of life and hospitality of the local inhabitants. Visit of the orchard or rice fields nearby. Boarding back, complimentary drink as a welcome back on board. Rest on the deck enjoying the sunset. The crew will serve dinner while the Bassac is cruising Mang Thit river. Day 11 : Mekong - Ho chi minh city (Vinh Long - Can Tho - Saigon)
Wake up and enjoy breakfast this morning on board the cruise as u travel the Tra On floating market. The ship then departs towards Can Tho. Upon arrival in Cai Rang floating market, you check out and transfer onto a local boat to visit the floating market, the nearby arroyos and gardens and return to the Ninh Kieu pier. You then get off the cruise boat by mid-morning and drive back to HCM City. Lunch is at a local restaurant on the way. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City
Day 12 : Depart Ho Chi Minh City
Its time to bid farewell to your Indochina holiday as you are transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
